Homeland /Organizational Culture Analysis
Culture to the world is similar to organizational culture. The definition of organizational culture as stated by Baack in our text is the “Culture represents a relatively fixed organizational element that reflects the organization's history. Culture consists of the symbols, rituals, language, and social dramas that highlight organizational life, including myths, stories, and jargon” (2012). Similar to the cultures we have in society. Organizational culture can create their own environment. In this paper, we will discuss what organizational culture is in-depth. I will address the following observable artifacts, espoused values, and enacted values. I have only worked in the United States so I will be discussing what I have encountered while in the workforce. Just like the world employers and the work world has its own culture. Organizations cultures are comprised from different aspects. These aspects are part of the organizations make up which are the expectations, philosophies, and values that they express. The way an organization interacts with the outside world is a part of its culture. It is very important part of a organizations culture when it comes to dealing with the outside world. As stated by Denning, “Changing an organization’s culture is one of the most difficult leadership challenges. That’s because an organization’s culture comprises an interlocking set of goals, roles, processes, values, communications practices, attitudes and assumptions”(2011). The receipt of the culture from the company can be in many ways suchlike when job hunting or researching about the company. The organizations mission statement is a direct representation of them.
